Chapter 2.3 - Visiting the Grand Central City
Kristin walked over to Tom Nook's store for another day of delivering packages to her neighbours. To her surprise, her bike was not in front of the store, and there were no packages anywhere. She went inside and questioned Tom Nook about it.
- Mr. Nook?
- Yes?
- why are there no packages to deliver?
- Oh, that! I completely forgot to tell you...
- What happened?
- Well... um... I...
- Yes?
- You are finished with your... job.
- Really?
- Yes. You may take off your uniform and give it back now.
- Okay!
Kristin pulled off the apron and handed it back to Tom Nook.
- Thank you so much! It was a pleasure working for you!
- Yes, yes. Goodbye. Have a nice day, now!
- Thank you! Goodbye!
Kristin happily ran out the door and told Rosie and Margie about it.
- Rosie! Margie! I'm done with my job at Nook's!
- Wow! Meow! Good for you!
- Maybe know you can come to the GCC with us!
- GCC?
- The GCC is the Grand Central City. It is kind of like a huge shopping mall. There are fortune tellers, and there is a salon, and there is a huge posh store called GracieGrace!
- Cool! Let's go! Dress up and grab your purses. Meet me at the bus stop in fifteen minutes!
- Okay, meow!
- Yes!
The three friends hurried home and dressed up into there fanciest clothing and brought there shopping cards and parasols. In fifteen minutes, all three of them where huddled under the bus stop. The bus driver came in a few minutes.
- Three beautiful lasses! Where would all three of you be headin' with all your fancy clothing?
- To the city, meow!
- Well, well, well...
- Aren't you... Kapp'n?
- Yes, and I remember you, Kristin!
- Oh...
- So, we be nearing the GCC! Happy shopping!
Margie, Kristin and Rosie ran off the bus and headed straight for the salon. Each of them got their hair into a new hairstyle.
Then they headed off into GracieGrace, the posh store that Margie told Kristin about.
- Oh my gosh! There is beautiful furniture here, meow!
- Thank you...
A purple hedgehog walked up beside them.
- My name is Labelle, and I thank you for taking a liking to our furniture. Welcome to GracieGrace.
There was a beautiful collection of clothing, which Margie and Rosie could not stop staring at. Margie took a few notes in her sketchbook. Kristin was looking at the furniture, since she was going to redecorate her home.
- How much does this bed cost, Labelle?
- Since it is on sale 30% off, now it costs 60,000 bells. But it is a small price to pay for quality.
- But... but that's half of my money!
- I'll let you in on a secret... I think all these things are too highly priced, too! Instead, I'm selling this bed to you for 20,000 bells1 Deal?
- Yes! Thank you so much!
- We deliver the packages in a few hours, so don't worry about carrying it. Would you like to buy the table which originally cost 100,000 bells on sale but I'm selling to you for 30,000 bells?
- Yes! In fact I'll take the bed, the table, the sofa, the chair, the lamp, and the closet!
- That totals up to 600,300 bells, but I'm selling it to your for 110,000 bells!
- thank you so much!
- it'll be all delivered to your house by tomorrow.
- Thank you!
- No problem.
After all three friends bought whatever they could, they headed back home with satisfied smiles on their faces.

Chapter 2.2 - Bunny Day
The next day, when Kristin woke up and headed outside to get some fresh air, she saw the ninja boy and Alfonso going around the village digging holes in the ground everywhere.
- What are you guys doing?
- Digging for eggs.
- Why in the world would you be digging for buried eggs?
- Because today is the day that the ol' Easter Bunny comes to town!
- And he hides the eggs in the ground.
- Exactly.
- That's... interesting. What's inside the eggs? Chocolate?
- No. well, inside the egg there could either be a piece of foil, or some candy.
- But why would he put foil in an Easter Egg?
- Well, because if you give him a foil, you get a prize!
- Well... what kind of prize?
- Furniture. Egg Furniture.
- Then there's no point in me keeping the foil because I'm not interested in egg furniture-
- No! No one in this town is interested in Egg Furniture except for Tom Nook! He will buy the furniture from you for very high prices!
- Oh... well okay.
- Good luck in egg hunting!
- Thanks, you too.
Kristin thought that she would probably need the extra money so she set of to start digging for buried eggs. And they were very easy to find, too. Every time she would find an egg she would crack it open and see what was inside. if it was candy, she would keep it in her backpack, but if it was a bunny foil, she would hold it. After an hour of digging she rounded up truckloads of candy and 13 bunny foils. She walked over in front of Town Hall and saw a bunny dancing.
- Hello?
- Flippity, skippity, looking for eggs!
Hippity, hoppity, using you legs!
I am Zipper T. Bunny, the lucky spring rabbit! How are you today?
- I have 13 bunny foils.
- Wow wow! it must be your lucky day! 13 pieces of FREE Egg Furniture! Here you go! have a nice day! And no refunds!
Zipper produced a large wheelbarrow from behind him and handed it to Kristin. She struggled to hold her balance as she pushed it all the way to Nook's.
- Oh ho! Egg furniture! Could I take all of this of your hands for 120,000 bells?
- Yes, please!
- Okay, good, good.
Tom Nook grabbed 2 sacks of money and handed them to Kristin as she handed him the wheelbarrow.
- Thank you for selling me this!
-...
Now all Kristin was thinking of was what she was going to do with all the money.
Hints: Secrets
1. Wisp the ghost
To find the ghost, wait until Monday nights after all stores have closed and before 4:00 am, go to the south-east corner of your town and you will hear a voice. Follow the voice and Wisp will ask you to find his lamp for him. Go to the attic of your house and there it will be. If you do so, he will either give you a randomized gift, clear all your weeds, repaint your house, or clear your house of cockroaches.
2. St. Patrick's Day
Usually, the only thing for St. Patrick's day is a four-leaf clover and Lucky K.K.. But in City Folk you can get a leprechaun hat called the shamrock hat! Start your game with Lucky K.K. playing on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, and Pelipper will be outside with a letter from Nintendo, saying that it should prevent pinching. It is possible it only happens through Wi-Fi Connection.
3. Money Rock
Just like in previous Animal Crossing games, there will be a random rock in your town each day that, when found, will give you increasing amounts of Bells. The more you hit it with your equipped shovel, the more Bells you will get. If you want to hit the rock more and more, try digging holes around the rock, thus giving yourself more room to hit the half-submerged rock.

Chapter 2.1 - The Shoreline
As Kristin was taking her daily evening stroll along the beach shore, she noticed a bottle half buried in the sand. She picked the bottle up and unscrewed the cap. She took out the folded piece of paper and read it.
A miracle will happen on the night of the Winter Festival if you choose to do so...
- What is that supposed to mean?
Kristin took one other glance at the paper then shoved it back into it's bottle. She then clutched the bottle in one hand as she walked back home, pondering the message on the paper.
The next day everybody spent their day at the beach. Margie was curled up with her drawing pad, as usual, and she was lightly sketching a design. Rosie was starting to get annoyed. They hadn't been in the water yet, because they were waiting for Margie to finish her drawing.
- Margie, would you hurry up?! We haven't had a dip in the pool yet, and look at everybody else! Even the mayor is going surfing!
- Sorry, Rosie. But Mabel said she might choose one of my clothing designs to sell, so I need to work hard. And if my design is good enough, she would even look for other stores who would purchase the design and sell it!
- Oh. Well...oh.
- I'm sorry, but who is Mabel?
Kristin asked unsurely.
- Mabel and Sable run the Able Sister's Shop. It is a clothing store.
- Oh, silly me.
After Margie was dome with her drawings, the three friends jumped to their feet and ran towards the sea. they had a wonderful time.
That evening, Kristin received a letter and a package from her mother.
Sweetie,
I miss you dearly, and we are doing fine at home. Is there anything you need help with? You can always ask me. I have included something that I think would maybe help you get over missing us...
Love,
Mommy
Kristin opened the package and removed a sleek photo of her family. That night, she fell asleep while hugging that photo.

Chapter 1.4 - Meeting Margie
One day, as Kristin was riding her bike back to Nook's shop, she fell off her bike. As she sat on the grass looking at her scraped knees, a shadow cast over her. Kristin looked up and saw the friendly face of an elephant.
- Are you all right?
- Yes, I think so...
- Let me help.
The stranger pulled out a first aid kit and took out a few bandages. She pressed them onto Kristin's knees.
- There! Much better.
- Thank you, um...
- My name is Margie.
- Thank you Margie. My name is Kristin.
Instead of riding her bike, Kristin rolled it along the ground until she spotted a cherry tree.
- Cherries!
- They are only found in this town.
- Wow...
- Do you like cherry pie?
- Yes.
Kristin and Margie sat down under the tree.
- When I eat cherry pie, I can eat the first 2 slices no problem, but when i get to the third slice I think I should stop eating. What about you?
- Well, I tell myself not to eat anymore but I just keep stuffing my face with it.
- So do I! And anyways, if we don't eat them, then they will go bad, won't they?
- Yeah! So it's better to eat them...
- I think I should be heading back to my house now...
- Before you go, here is a present for you.
Margie took hold of the tree and shook it hard. Lots of cherries fell from the tree and onto the ground. Margie picked all of them up and wrapped them in a cloth.
- Here!
- Thank you! I'll make some cherry pie and bring it tomorrow so we can share some!
- Sounds great! Bye!
- Bye!
And with that, Margie and Kristin headed off in different directions, returning to their home.
That night, Kristin wrote a letter to her mother.
Dear Mother,
I miss you a lot, and I think that I am getting used to living in Naturetown. I already made 2 friends, Rosie and Margie. They are very nice. How are you doing back at home? I miss you so much!
Love, Kristin
Chapter 1.3 - More Deliveries
The next client was Alfonso. Kristin knocked on the door while holding a huge box.
- Alfonso! I have your delivery of 500 pies... Wait, you ordered 500 pies?!
- They're finally HERE!!! Ah, the beautiful scent of custard and tiramisu pies...
- Um...
An emperor butterfly was flying around as a boy dressed up as a ninja was chasing it and trying to catch it with a net.
- Hey, wait for me!
Alfonso dropped the box of pies and chased the ninja boy.
- What am I going to do with these... pies? Oh well.
Kristin picked up the box and dragged it inside of Alfonso's house. She rode the bicycle over to the next person's house. Her name was Bianca.
- Miss Bianca? I have a package for you!
- Yes? Thank you, dearest!
Bianca took the package from Kristin and put it on a table in her house.
- Please come have a sip of tea with me.
- Sorry, but I have to go to work.
- Oh, well. Anyways, this package is actually a present for a newcomer around here, and I would really appreciate if you could send it to her...?
- Oh, I'm the newcomer. My name is Kristin.
- Well, this present is for you, Kristin.
- Thank you!
- Your welcome, sweetie.
The next, package was delivered to the museum. Kristin cautiously stepped into the museum and stood rigid with fear for a few seconds before she saw what really freaked her out. A whole army of dinosaur fossils seemed to be staring at her. She let out an ear piercing scream, but luckily Blathers was just about to turn on the lights.
- Are you all right?
- Yes, those dinosaurs just kind of freaked me out for a minute.
- Well...
- Yes, I have a delivery for you!
- Thank you! From Nook's Cranny, eh?
- Yes.
- Well, have a good day and drop in again soon!
- Thank you!
As Kristin finally headed to her home, she spoke quietly to herself.
- That was a nice first day...
Chapter 1.2 - Nook's Part Time Job
After a few minutes of slowly walking, Kristin could see her new home! It looked very cozy and, well, homie. It wasn't posh and made of marble, it was a nice little wooden house. it was smaller than most houses, but it looked very comforting to Kristin after 3 hours of talking to Kapp'n on the bus. Also, because of it's small size it was perfect for 1 person to live in. just as she was about to enter her new home, a raccoon popped out of nowhere and started chatting to her.
- Hello, my name is Tom Nook and I will be your landlord. I also run a shop in town. If you ever want to buy something just go there!
- If you don't mind I'm just going to-
- First of all you have to pay your mortgage. Yes,yes! And since you don't have a clue how to earn money, how about you start by working for me for a while, hm? Yes? Well then put this on and follow me!
Kristin was a bit overwhelmed by this and struggled to ride the bicycle Nook had lent her and put on the apron that he gave her at the same time. When they arrived at Nook's shop, he took a huge pile of packages and put them on the back basket of the bicycle. he then placed a long list of names and addresses in the bicycle's front basket.
- So you will deliver all these packages to each and every single one of my clients, and during that time you will also become more familiar with all your neighbours. Yes, good luck!
And with that Nook pushed the bicycle and sent Kristin off to do some work.
First stop was Rosie's home. Kristin stopped the bicycle in front of Rosie's home and pulled out the list. She found the correct package and rang the doorbell. To her surprise, a blue cat's face popped out as 2 small blue paws grabbed the package from her. Kristin watched in astonishment as the cat ripped open the package and hugged the new pink dress tightly while twirling around in circles.
- It's here! it's finally here! I'm going to look so cute!
- Hi!
- It's finally here- oh! Um... hi! My name is Rosie. What's your name? Wait, let me guess, you are the new resident! So you must be Kristin. i hope you have a great time in our town! Meow!
- Nice to meet you, Rosie!
- Meow!
Kristin closed the door and walked back to her bicycle and started off to the next customer's house. It was going to be a long day.
Chapter 1.1 - Arriving to Naturetown
- So young miss, are you going to visit a relative in Naturetown?
- No, I'm moving there.
- You look young to be moving all by yourself! How old are you?
- I'm 10.
- Well, well, well...
The bus drove through the rain as Kapp'n questioned Kristin about herself. Kristin stared out the window, hoping for a glimpse of sunshine as she reluctantly answered Kapp'n's questions. A few minutes later, the rain stopped and a beautiful rainbow came into view. The bus drove on a high mountain, and from the window there was a wonderful view of Naturetown.
- Well, young miss, this is Naturetown!
- ...
Kristin was too dazzled by the magnificent view to respond to Kapp'n's remark. A little while later, the bus arrived in Naturetown.
- Good luck, young miss.
- Thank you!
Kristin pulled her suitcase out of the bus and waved goodbye to Kapp'n. At first she just stared at the wondrous site around her, green grass with specks of dew, beautiful flowers, and birds and butterflies flying about. She then grabbed a map from an information booth and made her way to the Town Hall.
- Um... hello?
- Yes? Oh! You must be Kristin. My name is Pelly and-
- Ho ho ho! who might this be?
The old mayor of the town, Tortimer, woke up with a dazed expression on his face.
- Who is this? Answer me, Pelly!
- This is the new resident of our town. Her name is Kristin.
- Oh! Hello Kristin! Nice to meet you! Thank you dearly for moving into our beloved little town!
- ... Your welcome?
- Yes, yes! The first thing you should do is to go to your new home!
- Yes I should. Goodbye and thank you!
Clutching the town map in her hand, Kristin walked slowly towards her new home. And the beginning of a far-fetched adventure.

Hints: Earning Money
There are lots of ways to earn money in Animal Crossing: City Folk. I will tell you some of the most effective ways to earn tons of bells!
1. Bunny Day
Bunny Day is Easter. The date changes every year, so all you have to do is look at your calendar. Bunny day is a great way to earn money. On Bunny Day, a person dressed in a bunny suit comes to your town and dances in front of Town Hall, which I find really weird. And on that day you will also be seeing more stars in the ground than usual. So take out your shovel, make sure you have empty pockets and start digging! You will find loads of Bunny Eggs. When your pockets are full of eggs, crack all of them open. There will be 2 types of things inside: candy or Bunny Foils. Keep everything. Go back to your house and stash all you candy in a closet, and then go talk to the Bunny in front of Town Hall(it's name is Zipper). After you talk to Zipper once, he will start taking your Bunny Foils and exchanging them with Egg Furniture, which is also pretty random. But one you give him all your foils and sell them to Nook... you will have loads of money! I did this for 40 minutes and I got 120,000 bells!
2. Festivale
Festivale is on February 23. There will be this really ugly peacock thing in front of your Town Hall called Pave or something like that. So you talk to her and then she will ask you for candy that is either red, yellow, green or blue. But you have to bring her 3 pieces of that candy. So if you stocked up on candy you can just go to your house and give her the candy, but if you don't have enough, just talk to some of your fellow villagers and they'll play a game with you! And if you win you get a piece of candy! Yay! So when you have enough candy go talk to pave and she will take your candy and give you a piece of "Pave Furniture". How weird is that?! Go sell it to Tom Nook and he will take one piece of furniture for like 12,000 bells! i did this for an hour and got 100,000 bells.
3. Halloween
You people should now that Halloween is on October 31. So if you stocked up on candy on Bunny Day, then this should be really easy for you to make money. On Halloween there are 2 ways to earn lots of money:
a) Fill your pockets with fruit and look for the people that are dressed up with pumpkin heads that ARE chasing you. When they ask you for candy, say that you are not going to give it to them and they will get angry. They will take one of your fruit and put a jack in the box or a pumpkin head or some kind of shirt in the place of the fruit. Luckily, if you have a lot of jack in the boxes, each of them sells for 2,000 bells or something.
b) Keep some cherries in your pockets(just in case you bump into one of the people that are dressed up with pumpkin heads that ARE chasing you)and put some candy in your letters/mail. Look for the person that is dressed up with pumpkin heads that IS NOT chasing you. Before you talk to him take out a piece of candy from your pockets then talk to him. He will give you a piece of "Scary Furniture" or something like that and sell it to Nook. 10,000 bells!
4. Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival takes place on November 26. Around 3 o'clock, talk to the mayor in front of the Town Hall. he will tell you to take a fork and knife to one of the villagers. It actually doesn't matter who you give it to, so just give it to anybody. After you give it to one of the villagers, he or she will say that there is a person lurking around a place. This place could be anywhere. Talk to the mayor again and take another fork and knife. Bring it to the mysterious person and he will give you furniture. Every time you give him furniture he will change locations. Keep on doing this over and over. Each furniture is worth about 4,000 bells. I did this for 1 hour and got 40,000 bells.
5. Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is on December 24(duh). Go on at about 8 o'clock pm and make sure you have a bunch of clothes and accessories(but it would be easier to just use designs), but still leave 5 spaces in your pockets. look around town for a Reindeer dressed up in a Santa Costume named Jingle. Talk to him and answer his questions, then he will give you a present. Depending on how you answered his questions the presents will be different. After that, walk into anyone's house(all the houses are open) and change into different clothes. Go back outside and talk to Jingle again, and he will say that you looked familiar, but he will still give you a present. Keep on doing this over and over. Some people say you can only do it 3 times but I did it 14 times, and each piece of furniture is worth about 12,000 bells, so I got 168,000 bells(in 1 hour)!
Those are some of the ways to earn loads of money, but on normal days you can do other things.
